Fish fillets in coconut sauce

The recipe for fish fillets in coconut sauce below was an improvisation based on "What do I prepare for dinner? Let's see, I have fresh fish, coconut milk ... chili ... a piece of pepper, garlic and chives, ok, I'm going to mix everything and that's it. I'm hungry. "

Let this be clear: fish and coconut make a worthy pair of indie movies with a happy ending.

Any recipe that has these two ingredients is going to be amazing. And if you add a good amount of chilli, sweet or spicy, the one you like, the deliciousness of said dish will increase exponentially.

I recommend preparing this recipe using some white fish such as hake, curvina or grouper.

Coconut milk can be bought at a supermarket or you can prepare it yourself by following my step-by-step instructions on "how to make coconut milk".

Ingredients (2 people)

  • 2 Fresh fish fillets
  • Half a cup of coconut milk
  • ½ Pepper
  • 1 sweet or hot pepper, or both
  • 1 stem of chives
  • 2 Cloves of garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Marina for half an hour the fish with a mixture of salt, pimie nta, olive oil and crushed cloves of garlic.

Heat a large skillet, place the fish fillets with a jet of oil and brown them on both sides quickly.

Add the peppers/peppers and the white part of the chives. Let cook for a couple of minutes.

Add the coconut milk. Lower the heat and cook until it reduces by half. Correct salt and pepper if necessary.

When the liquid has reduced (approximately 10 minutes), turn off the heat and add a little of the green part of the chives and some coriander leaves.

Serve your delicious fish in coconut sauce accompanied with white rice and some green salad.
